In the first quarter of 2024, the dynamic games sector in Nigeria saw interesting trends across the top 5 applications on a unified platform. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Roblox experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $5.2K in early January and peaking at around $7.5K by the end of March. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a low of about 3.5K in early March and a high of nearly 5.9K in the last week of March. Active users saw a slight dip mid-quarter but ended stronger, rising from around 79K to over 82K.

EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile Soccer showed significant revenue growth, starting the quarter at $1.3K and reaching a peak of $8.7K in mid-February, before dropping to $1.5K by the end of March. Weekly downloads remained robust, ranging from 13.6K to nearly 20K, with active users decreasing from around 136K to approximately 109K over the quarter.

eFootball™ 2024 had a mixed quarter, with revenue starting at around $7.1K, peaking at $7.3K in the first week of January, and ending at about $2.8K. Downloads varied, hitting a peak of 10.1K in mid-March, while active users consistently increased from 262K to over 301K by the quarter's end.

Weekly downloads were modest, peaking at 801 in late February and falling to 144 by the end of March. Active users rose to a high of around 6.7K in late February before declining to approximately 4.2K by the end of the quarter.
